Friday March 30th is Stop Cyberbullying Day
This Friday we bloggers and those who read them need to participate.
Andy Carvin, internet activist has declared March 30th Stop Cyberbullying Day. This is happening in lieu of Kathy Sierra, blogger, educator and programmer. Now I for one truly believe in 'free speech/free internet speech.'
But, when it comes to threatening lives, that's where I draw the line. Kathy has been receiving death threats in animation form.
Let me explain.
Someone took a photograph of her an altered it by dangling a lacey red brassiere in front of the face and neck. It was to assimilate her being strangulated. In her blog was posted, 'Death Threats Against Bloggers Is Not Protected.' Also posted was 'fuck off you boring slut... i hope someone slits your throat and cums down your gob.'
She's had to put her everyday routine including leaving the house on hold. This my friends is like being a prisoner in your home, to say the least.
I don't get it?
How can anyone have so little control over their emotions that they resort to antics or rather this type of hatred? Deep rooted and seeded problems are going on and it's not anything Kathy did.
You really must have a miserable kind of life in order to take time out of your day to do such cruel things.

And, thanks Andy Carvin's Waste of Bandwith for bringing this to our attention.
