Barbie is getting a Bad name and Rep

So Barbie is joining the ranks of the Bratz Dolls, which is allegedly not befitting or shaping to our young girls minds nor the advancement of good morals. At least this is what they are saying.

Iran officials see Barbie as a very destructive influence. "The appearance of personalities such as Barbie, Batman, Spiderman and Harry Potter and ... computer games and movies are all a danger warning to the officials in the cultural arena," said Prosecutor General Ghorban Ali Dori Najafabadi in a letter to Vice President Parviz Davoudi published in the Mardom Salari daily."

I remember this argument several years back. Except it was Americans becoming quite upset. A tad to irate that each culture was trading in Barbie's clothing for the type of garb they personally would wear. Duh - wouldn't this seem appropriate? I recall how heated the debate was that Barbie's beautiful blonde hair was rapidly being swapped for dark hair and headdress. I didn't get it but, then who I am? Just a person who would rather see a smile on a child's face.

Well now there doesn't have to be an argument on neither sides and thankfully the little Muslim girls can have a toy without the political hoopla behind it -

Here's your introduction to 'Razanne,' check her out!

"Razanne has the body of a preteen. The doll comes in three types: fair-skinned blonde, olive-skinned with black hair, or black skin and black hair. Her aspirations are those of a modern Muslim woman. On the drawing board for future dolls are Dr. Razanne and possibly even Astronaut Razanne. There's also Muslim Girl Scout Razanne, complete with a cassette recording of the Muslim Scout's oath."

And there you have it, we are solving all kinds of world problems.

Razanne is more influential than Barbie
cause Barbie is just a bad bad girl.
