Gay Couples Warned About Being Too Flamboyant

This really hit my ticker -- evoking emotions of "I'm pissed."

It reminded me of don't speak too ethnic -- or rather Black -- and for Pete sakes watch how you dress - meaning don't come to work with your natural hair or even braids. Remember what you say and watch how you say it. Your diction your dialect -- because we have to assimilate to the alleged standards of the mainstream. Oh Poppycock!

Yet, here we go again....
"The gay and lesbian couples who packed a Hollywood auditorium last week had come seeking information about California's new marriage policies.

But they also got some unsolicited advice. Images from gay weddings, said Lorri L.Jean, chief executive of the Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Center, could be used by opponents in a campaign designed to convince California voters that gays and lesbians should not have the right to marry.

"It's a weird subject," added Hamilton, 39, who plans to wed his partner of five years, Ray Paolantonio. "We want everybody to be free, but the image does matter. . . . They are going to try to make us look like freaks."

"The more that homosexual activists wave their hijacked marriage licenses in people's faces, the more people will say, 'This isn't right. . . . What can I do about this?' " said Randy Thomasson, the founder of the Campaign for Children and Families."

You know what? The people who'll be mad will be mad no matter what. People don't freaking need to come out of the closet and fall in love only to pretend they're someone else at their wedding.
