Dolce & Gabbana Ad Fantasy Gang Rape

On my wish list was once a gold Dolce & Gabbana cellphone until I got a whiff of this...

I must give credit to Toxic Shock for bringing this to my attention.

Dolce & Gabbana are notoriously famous for using provocative sexual imaginary in their advertisements. It's a money-making tool for them. The women are beautiful and the men are well chisled. Easy on the eyes and lip licking.

Yet, this time they obviously took it a bit too far.

Steffano Gabbana feels it's merely artistic sentiment, an erotic dream and sexual game play. That it was only meant to be portrayed as fantasy mere imagination a reveling in a daydream and whose may I ask?

Certainly, not the woman (model) being depicted laying down about to get gang raped. In her black ankle strapped stiletto shoes and ever so perfect make-up. While her should I dare say 'attacker' bends down to begin his fantasy. Oh yeah, it's alright because they're wearing Dolce & Gabbana.

Surprisingly they are shocked by their consumer's disdain for it all.

Consumer groups in Italy Spain and across the globe spoke out in protest. Women in those countries suffer with extreme violence and felt it was unacceptable and totally out of place.

The ad was yanked.

What about the women in the United States I ask?

Kim Gandy, President of National Organization for Women found the depiction disturbing and spoke up “It is a provocative ad, but it is provoking things that really are not what we want to have provoked,” she told Brandweek. “We don’t need any more violence.”

The campaign has been pulled.
